The secret of MagnetPlaster
The secret behind our MagnetPlaster is just as simple as effective. The main thing is, of course, the iron powder in the decorative plaster. One special component has some great advantages. It provides the strongest possible magnetic force, does not rust and meets environmental and EU directives.
The magnetic strength of our MagnetPlaster is unmatched. Obviously, we are constantly trying to improve our product. This through research in our own laboratory, but also by studying innovations in the market and applying these where possible. This has so far ensured that MagnetPlaster can hold as many as 28 sheets of copy paper with a 29mm (neodymium) magnet. Results that cannot be matched by competitors.
No formation of rust
The fact that our MagnetPlaster does not rust may perhaps seem obvious, but it certainly is not. Rust can occur when you paint over similar products with a water-based paint or if it is used in a room that is damp or becoming damp. Brown spots will then become visible and have an undesired effect on the colour of the wall. MagnetPlaster by MagPaint does not have this formation of rust.
For maximum adhesion to the walls MagPaint has Quartz White Primer. This primer based on an acrylic dispersion filled with quartz is the ideal base for MagnetPlaster. The rough structure ensures that the decorative plaster can be applied quickly and easily. The composition of this Quartz Primer guarantees perfect coverage and good penetration into the base.

MagnetPlaster has been awarded the European Safety Standard for children’s toys, EN71-3. It meets the strictest international standards for professional use and can be used in the most demanding environments including hospitals, schools, nurseries, etc.
The transportation is ADR free (European regulations for the transport of dangerous substances) and MagnetPlaster contains no Volatile Organic Compounds (0g/L VOC)
Optimized for professional use
We are constantly in contact with painters to discover their experiences when optimising MagnetPaint. This ensures it can be applied without any problems and is easy to work with. Special focus points are: viscosity, layer thickness, application techniques and working spatter-free.
Although MagnetPlaster contains a high dose of iron powder, the magnetic force cannot be compared with a full iron plate, such as the door of a refrigerator. This is because the amount of iron particles per square centimetre in decorative plaster is much less than in an iron plate. Therefore, the quality of the magnets determines the magnetic force.
Cheap (brown/black) magnets, such as give-away magnets, are intended for use on refrigerator doors. They function well with a minimum of magnetic force. However, there are also good quality brown/black magnets available, but almost not recognisable as such. Therefore, we recommend the use of neodymium magnets. These can be identified by their bright surface. They are made from the strongest magnetic material. This can be the difference between a magnet that can only hold one sheet of A4 copy paper and a magnet that can hold 28 pages.
Better magnetism through a smooth surface
Magnets work best when they come close to the iron nearby. A very smooth plastered surface results in a stronger magnetic force than a rough plastered surface. With a rougher finish you create small holes directly under the magnet and the magnetic force will be reduced in those places because there are no iron particles to make contact with.
Magnetic foil: strong magnetic fields
The most powerful effect of MagnetPlaster is achieved in combination with magnetic foil: really heavy or large things can also be hung up in this way. Magnetic foil makes optimal use of the whole surface of the object and therefore the sliding off the surface is practically impossible.
